“Before the course I wasn’t really doing anything, sat at home watching television. I was jobless and at that point in time homeless.
I felt that thanks to the interview techniques we did in Employability, I feel more confident to enter the interview situation.
On the filming side I learned a load of new skills when it comes to setting up and actually filming things. Thanks to the job searching part of the course, a whole lot of new possibilities have been opened up to me.”
After finishing the StARTworks course, Curtis went on to get a job with ALVO. ALVO is rural South Lanarkshire Council for Voluntary Services (CVS), the name given to the local independent organisations supporting the voluntary sector in Scotland.
